Technical Assistance and Database Management
Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS)
DB Consulting has been contracted to provide technical assistance and database management to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS). DB provides ongoing data entry, analytical, data administration and technical support for the Annual Progress Reports (APR) received from the Supportive Housing, Shelter Plus Care, and Single Room Occupancy (SRO) programs. DB currently is completing an analysis of the APR data, converting the SNAPS database from Access 98 to Access 2000, and producing summaries of the results by program in tabular and graphic format. On an ongoing basis, DB analyzes the APR database to determine the status of APRs each quarter and mails a status report to each of the 43 field offices for review. DB provides a customized yearly written report of the preliminary findings that includes interpretation of the results and stated conclusions and recommendations. DB also provides ongoing technical support in the form of database management, construction, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
