In September 2000, Gerald Boyd, Jr. decided the time was right to put his extensive management consulting experience to work for himself and founded DB Consulting Group, Inc. (DB). Over the years, Mr. Boyd has grown DB into a respected, award-winning company that offers management consulting expertise in the areas of health, housing, and education, as well as on large, complex information technology programs in science intensive environments.

Now, he has passed the reigns to his wife Shawn, who has led the organization to new levels for the past three years.  Shawn Boyd currently serves as the CEO and majority owner of DB.  Under her leadership, DB will cultivate new partnerships and continue the superior service provided since the company’s inception.

Specializing in federal government contracting, DB’s client list includes a variety of agencies and departments, such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and U.S. Departments of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Justice (DOJ), Homeland Security (DHS), Education (ED), Health and Human Services (DHHS), and Defense (DoD). Today, DB offers the talents and experience of more than 400 professionals. We serve our clients from our corporate headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland, as well as eight satellite and on-site offices across the nation. Our exemplary performance has enabled DB to not only flourish, but has also positioned us for future growth and success.
