DB was named one of 30 prime contractors to be awarded a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Information Management Services (CIMS) contract. Under this multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, DB will provide a breadth of information management-related services. These services include the planning, design, development, maintenance, engineering, integration, and retirement of information systems; the collection, analysis, and management of data, information, and knowledge; health information technology; public health informatics; graphics and web design; technical writing and editing; information security; and project and program management support.
According to DB’s President Gerald Boyd, “The CIMS award represents two major milestones for DB. First, it signifies our evolution as a small business 8(a) firm into a company that has the skills, knowledge, and expertise to successfully compete for and win high-profile contracts. Second, the award exemplifies DB’s ability to unify our core competencies in information technology systems, software, security, and services; health and public health; program management; writing and graphics design; and evaluation and analysis into comprehensive, agency-focused solutions.”
